
The proposals for area B are that the new swimming pool, to replace Ladywell, will be here. Possibly with an entrance to the car park (300 spaces) on Loampit Vale, further restricting the flow of traffic. Above the swimming pool will be residential units.
Area A will be more residential units. In total there will be 755 new residential units (1800 new residents) in areas A and B.
Should the car traffic generated have access directly to Elmira St much of this will head away from Loampit Vale to avoid congestion there. Standard routes avoiding the town centre and Loampit Vale, such as: Vicars Hill, Harefield Rd, Algernon Rd etc, can expect to become more congested.
